Guess there won’t be many mentor-less shows this year, as the upcoming Andrew Lloyd Webber week is followed by NEIL DIAMOND WEEK! This semi-coincides with the May 6th release of his upcoming album, Home Before Dark.
You know what this means…The Chosen Eunuch will probably do Heartlight, the theme from E.T., as it is both slow and “inspirational.” Personally, I would find it more amusing if he sang Desiree, mainly so Paula can rub her legs together her in her Paula Mating Call. And Carly and Syesha will probably fight over You Don’t Bring Me Flowers, because that’s technically a Barbara Streisand song, too. And if Mormon Brooke is still around, you know she’s gonna do Groovy Kind of Love.
I’ll have to think a bit more about what Castro and D. Cook are gonna do, but I can see Girl You’ll Be A Woman Soon being a contender.
But you know what this means, right? A horrible group sing to SWEET CAROLINE!!

Too bad we no longer have KLC or else we’d be hearing “America.”

I am so excited! I Love Neil Diamond! I have 3 of his cds and The Jazz Singer cd-and though he has so many great songs that I love-there are 3 I am just absolutely nuts about-the very 1st is I AM..I SAID-that’s my #1 favorite, the #2 is:Open Wide These Prison Doors, and #3 is America-the first 2 I can relate to on a personal level, and America-I just get very patriotic because all of the men in my family are Military men and when I hear that song-it makes me think of them and how honored I am to have such incredible brave men in my family-in fact 1 of my cousins down the line was killed in ww1-shot down over the adriatic sea-so I hear that song and think of him and get almost a little teary eyed. But my favorite is I AM..I SAID and that’s the one I would really like to hear someone do on the show. Love Ya Neil!
