You knew it was coming: Former Idol Stars take on BRANSON
The other day I thought to myself, hmmm, with all these former American Idol contestants looking for work and trying to popularize on their uh, instant Idol fame, why aren’t any of them playing Branson?
While perusing the Idol Appearances section of MJ’s Big Blog this evening, something caught my eye:
America’s Favorite Finalists opening June 20th in Branson, MO!
God I’m good. Anyway, the show goes on until October 26th and the Idols (Seasons 1-6) are rotating out every couple of weeks in the land of Shoji Tabuki and Yakov Smirnoff. The first batch: Vonzell Solomon (Season 4), Scott Savol (Season 4) who appears to have gone all preacher-like judging by the photo from The Grand Palace website, Brandon Rogers (Season 6), Haley Scarnato (Season 6), Carmen Rasmussen (Season 2) and RJ Helton (Season 1).
But now I’m curious to see who else is coming. You know Greasy Constantine is going to do that shit. Sanjaya is probably too expensive these days, Kimberly Caldwell has moved up the Idol food chain because of Cook…wow, I’m totally blanking on former Idol contestants. There’s that guy who claimed to bang Paula and obviously, Justin Guarini. Hmmm, Ozzie Smith’s kid, Niko, only lives like 4 hours away. I liked him. Maybe he’s gonna play a few gigs in Branson?
Oh well. Tickets are $14.75 for kids and $34.75 for adults. Might be a good birthday gift for someone who wants to see the upcoming Idol tour. Times are tough, ya know? It’s kind of almost the same thing when it comes down to it. Kind of…
The show was great but the producer/promoter/creator (is you can call him that) was a JOKE and a LIAR. He killed the show!

I challenge you, or anyone else who has questions and or problems and feels the need to apply “blame” to step up and have a face to face or phone conversation about the show and what the real causes of the short lived run were. IF you were part of the production you MIGHT have some idea. If you are not you have no idea what you are talking about.
C’mon…I dare you! For someone who has probably never tried to produce of show of this type, I would bet you have no idea what you are talking about…
