This evening, it was reported that the mother and brother of Jennifer Hudson were murdered in their Chicago home. An Amber Alert has been issued for Julian King, Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew. Police believe the murders and subsequent kidnapping were the result of a domestic dispute and are looking for William Balfour, Hudson’s brother-in-law.

Balfour is married to Julia Hudson. A photo of Jason Hudson, Jennifer’s slain 29-year-old brother, recently posted on Julia’s MySpace may lead to some clues regarding the tragic dispute. There have been reports about someone in the Hudson household (where Balfour has listed as his residence) being involved in an attempted car theft.

Notice the MySpace caption: Jason picking my ass up from work, cause william bitch ass sold my car

Here is a mugshot of William Balfour. He is currently on parole after serving prison time for an attempted murder.

What absolutely horrible news. My heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson and her family. Yet another senseless tragedy.

Just goes to show how you can be on top of the whole one day and then have it all come crashing down around you the next. This is so sad!
