Cook Fans Pissed About His College Tour
Some of David Cook’s fanbase are hella-pissed about his College Tour. As I have said before, that Cookie is a smart one for playing mostly college towns and campuses.
(Thanks C, for exposing me to this wonderful Cooktard post.)
What I am waiting for are some straight answers right from David’s pretty mouth to the following questions:
1. What is the reasoning behind excluding the western half of the US from your “national” tour? Will there be a “second leg” as many are hoping, and where and when will that begin?
2. Are you aware that many of these college shows are closed to the general public, thus preventing many of your very devoted fans from attending despite the fact that they may live five minutes away? (After you said, I might add, that the shows would be open to the public.)
3. Are you also aware that some of the venues at which you are supposedly playing still apparently have no contractual confirmation that you are indeed coming?
We need some answers, Mr. Cook and entourage-type-people who follow you around. There are many, many disappointed fans (myself included) across the country who faithfully believed we would have the opportunity to see you and the band live this spring. What this “Declaration Tour — 2009” has turned out to be is a somewhat disorganized, haphazard, illogical and inconsistent way to alienate some of your most devoted supporters.
I love you, David, but you need to encourage your “camp” to get its act together and please provide some sort of explanation to the many problems we are encountering.
