David Cook cancels upcoming shows for unknown reasons
Last night at the William & Mary College show in Williamsburg, VA, David Cook announced he was canceling his next two shows.
(Two or three show, I guess. Not sure. I don’t think anyone has an exact number at the moment.)
Although he does hope to reschedule, Monday night’s show at Colby Sawyer College and Tuesday’s show in New Haven, CT at Southern Connecticut State University will not be happening.
A lot of Cook fans are freaking out, worried something happened to his older brother, etc. Who knows. Maybe him and his band are just tired. It also kind of sucks to be forced to drive from Virginia and then back to New England when you have to be in Wilmington, North Carolina on Thursday.
Or maybe he just needs some time off after having to deal with some batshit crazy fan drama earlier this week.
Whatever the reason, let’s hope everything is okay for him and his band. Personally, I’m thinking they just need a few days off and logistically speaking, it might make the most sense to do it now. Or maybe he has to do some extra promotional stuff for his new single. Who knows.
And you can watch this video of some OMG SUPER EXCITED TEENAGERS BEFORE THEY SEE DAVID COOK LIVE AND IN CONCERT. (It made me let out a quasi-giggle, ok?)
We are canceling Monday and Tuesday’s shows to allow David time to deal with personal family matters. Please respect his privacy at this time. David would like everyone to rest assured that we are working with the Universities to reschedule the shows that are missed.
Thanks to Ted K and MJ for bringing this to my attention. Let’s hope everything is okay with Cook and his family. Poor guy. I hope people respect his privacy regarding this private matter.
