Will the Bats**t Adam Lambert Fans start calling GLAAD homophobic?

December 3, 2009

Today GLAAD released a statement supporting ABC’s decision to not allow Adam Lambert on any of their stages. From TMZ (yeah, yeah, I know):

ABC sent a statement to GLAAD, explaining how Adam’s removal was “not a question of Lambert’s sexual orientation” but was instead because his live performance at the AMAs differed “greatly” from rehearsals and “caught the network off guard” — which is justification for dropping him from other live shows.

Today, GLAAD backed ABC’s explanation saying, “It would appear that the kiss between Adam Lambert and his keyboardist did not factor into ABC’s decision … ABC has a history of positive gay and transgender inclusion that includes featuring kisses between gay and lesbian couples on-air.”

As I’ve always said, I was more offended by the off-key vocals and cat-in-heat noises piping through my TV more than anything else. So how many strongly-worded Glambert emails do you think GLAAD has already received calling them self-loathing gays?

GLAAD actually believes what ABC is saying? That’s not what the homophobic statement from Falwell’s group says in its complaint to the FCC which is at the bottom of all this. If this performance had been male/female (such as the notorious P!ink concert a few years ago) this complaint would never have been filed. GLAAD looks like its willing to sacrifice Lambert to stay in ABC’s good graces. What a crock. Lambert’s the only one with titanium balls here. Good for him.

Yeah, lady. Tell me something–what they hell did you know about the gay rights movement before you had a hot flash during an episode of American Idol in early 2009?

So many shows these days show pole dancing (House M.D. for one), lap dancing, and simulated sex in bed, including oral sex, but we’re somehow shocked by what Adam did? Come on, he’s been punished enough and I’m sure they’ll apply the seven second rule to him from now on…so let’s all get over it. He’s a talented person and I’d like to hear him sing. In the immortal words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?” After all folks, this is December…peace on earth, goodwill to men? (From a 50ish, heterosexual Mom who is pretty conservative.)

WHY OH WHY must you guys put your age and reproduction past on every Lambert-supporting blog comment? Oh, and who the hell cares if you’re heterosexual. Why does it matter? If you were so into gay rights, you wouldn’t include that on your dossier. And speaking of Glamberts (or maybe this person is just…?) being so well-versed on the issue of everything gay…

I agree it’s all BS.

No one did a thing when madonna and brittney kissed on the big screen… Now that was GROSS… To Me. Janet Jackson was singled out and so is this guy. All the humping and gyrating I have seen on these awards shows they all should be cancelled as a good faith measure of fairness. It’s all crap if you dont get with the main stream and kis as then you get singled out.

I remember a time when you could not say bad words on TV but wow that sure has changed…It’s all crap. Either get rid if all the humping, gyrating, kissing and women wearting almost nothiing or leave it the heck alone.

Let the artists be creative. Those Big CEO’s font mind seeing half naked and naked womens asses on Tv but let this guy express himself people go crazy.

As a woman i find it degrading to see woman on TV like that.

Cancell all that crap exploytayon. This guy is gay thats his lifestyle he isnt exployting anyone.

LIFESTYLE? LIFESTYLE? LIFESTYLE is a section in your daily newspaper or reputable condom brand you use when you’re out of Trojan or Durex. Being gay is not a lifestyle, you ignorant f**k.

Wow. I almost wet myself a bit laughing at your stupidity. You’re about as believable as a gay activist as I am a virgin.

And don’t even tell me ABC isn’t down with dudes kissing. I hear there are some gay male characters on that Brothers & Sisters crap (Sorry, I can’t watch tired family melodrama even if it does star the incredible Rachel Griffiths) and oh yeah, Jimmy Kimmel. Of course Kimmel doesn’t have a problem with Adam Lambert being gay!

(On a semi-unrelated note, Adam Lambert, I like it when you quasi-tell Perez Hilton he’s a complete douche. Keep it up. GLAAD hates that loser, too!)

Why are Lambert fans asking to boycott ABC if Lambert’s going to appear on two ABC shows this month? Glamberts are boycotting ABC, but Lambert apparently is not boycotting ABC.

Don’t be silly. Adam doesn’t need to boycott ABC, as he’s the wronged party. They’re just making it up to them.

Of course, Allison and Kris should TOTALLY boycott ABC to show their support though.

Of course! If they were TRUE friends they would forget about their own careers in order to take a stand for their oh so wronged friend. They should take the high road and not perform on a network that discriminates. Of course Adam is excused from having to take this high road 😉

I don’t know where the “NPH is another perfect example” was directed, but FYI, NPH is not an example of ANYTHING LGBT except he continued to work after finally coming out and does a couple of interviews.

Here’s one blogger’s take, an actual HOMOSEXUAL not a faux equivocator:

GLAAD, What was the cowardly backroom deal you immediately made with ABC? This tells me it was intentional. Regardless that some LGBT may disagree that the show “deserves” support, the Liberty Counsel agenda is indisputable.

This could go on for years. The least you could have done is pretend to advance LGBT issues within the first ten days. Adam Lambert’s company is correctly not making statements that could interfere with future legal actions. What’s your excuse? Besides being in bed with the adversary.

Any activist/advocate or LAWYER is LMAO at you right now, GLAAD. How much time did you spend on this about 10 minutes?

    Common sense 101:

Absent any detailed ABC statement you assume the BLACKBALLING is based on the Complaint. Read the damn complaint. THE CAPTION IS:

Re: Complaint against the American Broadcasting Company for airing ********obscene/indecent homosexual content***** on the American Music Awards

“The Lambert performance featured, among other things, simulated oral sex, suggestive crotch grabbing, simulated digital penetration, sadomasochistic conduct,*****and homosexual open-mouth kissing*****”

    Need to spell it out for ya? …..H O M O S E X U A L

    This will boil down to:

1.) The time of night and duration of each “act” performed. The questionable claim that the show aired outside of the safe harbor zone of 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Lambert’s show aired at 10:55 EST. The assertion is there was no censorship for the CST timezone.

Is ABC a neophyte network unable to figure out the US time zones? Oh wait…there was “obscenity” starting at 8:00 with Jackson. Just not H O M O S E X U A L obscenity.

2.) ABC was fully aware of the choreography and FUBAR’D their responsibility of simply following the script that they used and rehearsed. Evidenced by the ERROR OF CENSORING [non offensive] AUDIO DURING THE BJ INSTEAD OF THE VIDEO, OR CHANGING CAMERA SHOTS.

3.) The definition of Community Standards. WTF Way to blow that opportunity, you jackasses.

4). Outside of the FCC matter, ABC’s action to publicly retroactively BLACKBALL, and therefore interfere with the business interests of Adam Lambert with other media outlets.

Way to go joining ABC with the FUBAR of the most significant LGBT event in entertainment history. This will get ugly. And the dirty secrets will come out. Once it becomes a government matter all discovery is much easier. Once it becomes a civil matter, each and every party will be deposed and investigated. This includes YOU. Meanwhile, Lambert’s fans will go to any length to insure his life dream and talent is fully realized.

It would serve you and ABC both to let this go away by simply revoking the BLACKBALL. Do you actually think that Liberty Counsel is going to let up? LMAO.

Now get with the program or stop thinking YOU speak for anything LGBT, please.

That inane glambert doesn’t speak for me either.

Shockingly, most of us queers can form our own independant opinions outside of GLAAD, HRC and blowhard clueless bloggers. Unlike the straights who obviously only have those anti-gay organizations speak for them. I mean, isn’t that what happens with ‘the straights’, one group talks for all of ya’? It must be since you assume that one person or group speaks for all us queers.

I’ve also seen a lot of gay bloggers who HATE the attention Lambert is getting. They find it detrimental to the movement.

Talkamongyourselves, don’t accuse me (or anyone else on here) of being “selective with the facts” because that’s exactly what YOU’RE doing. I never said I agreed with ABC’s censorship, but its the Glamberts who have been the most ridiculous about this matter. Glamberts/sparkle cows, whatever. Tell me, are you gay? There are a lot of gay readers on this blog (see above) and they don’t agree with your take, so, um…are they homophobes?

Of course! Everyone knows that gay people who don’t support Adam Lambert, or horror of horrors, actually thinks ABC actually has some justification for their actions toward the guy, are really self-hating homophobes.

And of course the people who are suddenly experts into gay rights are the Glamberts, 9 out of 10* of whom probably still think “Stonewall” refers to a civil war general or a type of masonry.

NPH was never “in” the closet. Perez Hilton “outed” him after NPH started gaining more popularity with the sitcom he stars in. The way NPH handled this “outing” was perfect. There were no magazine covers, no declarations about YES I AM GAY. He made his sexuality a NON-ISSUE without denying the fact he was a happy gay male.

The more people who make sexuality a non-issue, the less of an issue it will become.

This entire page has proven to be “the joke”. What a waste of a topic, finding innocuous comments that aren’t even all that douchey. If you simply went to an ACTUAL queer blog you’d have hundreds to pluck out and ALL with the EXACT same sentiments. (stipulating that there are some who disagree and side with ABC).

So I guess ACTUAL LGBT = sparkle cows. Get over it.

What is the point here other than to bottom feed a couple “comments” to pound the “sparkle cow” narrative. It’s ridiculous. Not to mention completely missing the POINT that the BLACKBALL and GLAADs disingenuous statement is the issue, not the furor or first cancellation of the GMA show.

Also if you read the gay blogs you’d see a well thought out criticism by ABC and GLAAD bashers. But that would suck for you and leave you without anything to snark on.

Top Idol needs to stop trying to be so (faux) hip-gay-informed. Since you’re not gay and obviously not even once removed, you fail to get the point that until DWTS has Lance Bass dancing with a guy, there is no “equality”. GLAAD is the Uncle Tom that’s been challenged and Lambert is only the conduit.

…GLAAD pick a side! Either you think it is wrong of ABC to cancel Adam’s performances or you support it! You haven’t been Adam’s advocate! Then again, HRC has to brown nose politicians and must spend time in Wash DC, the bastion of spinelessness.

      • December 5, 2009 6:16 pm

Blacklisted, you may be a fan, but it seems you are lacking in compassion. Adam has a lot of publicity. Lucky for him? That may not turn out to be the case if recent events continue. Just think that if Adam wasnt gay, we could be appreciating the talented guy we saw on AI – with hopefully positive, moderate publicity. But the extremes of controversy and publicity we have witnessed may well be because of the fact that Adam is gay. Now this may serve him well, or it may not. But I cannot blame Adam for the media’s response to his sexuality. I can only enjoy what I have always enjoyed about Adam. His voice, his performance, his sexuality and his spirit of fun.

If Adam wasn’t gay he wouldn’t have gotten half of the press nor would he have received the covers on EW (gay idol), RS (coming out), Details (girls like the gay idol), etc. Point is that he gets hype because he’s an out gay idol and he got press for the AMA because he went overboard with the sex. His fans can’t cry now that the press is sexualizing him when he himself uses his sexuality for press. The glamberts were the also the one’s overdoing it with the ABC controversy and crying homophobia on the most gay friendly network tv channel.

I have compassion…for the rest of us who are trying to enjoy Adam for his singing and not the drama.

When it comes down to it, with ABC, its all about losing advertising money. GLAAD can backstep and claim ABC didn’t give them the real story. Or maybe GLAAD got sick of hearing from the Sparkle Cows. Who the hell knows. But I still think it was more the threat of losing big advertisers than it was the FCC.

The Janet Jackson Super Bowl backlash was sooooo ridiculous. Jesus. And this is now becoming even more ridiculous.

It’s all so stupid. And I’m sorry, but I just don’t see Adam Lambert as a hero of the gay community. Nothing he does is different or cutting edge whatsoever. At least Gaga is somewhat original with her crap, granted, Peaches and Goldfrapp do it better, but Gaga decided to take it to the pop world. Which I suppose Adam Lambert is doing, but I think Gaga has more of the chops to do it. Lambert does not. And that was apparent in the AMA performance. There was nothing artistic about it. He just ran around, screeched and dared to “shock”. It’s not “him being himself”, it’s him craving the spotlight. Him craving attention. Why didn’t all the big GBLT groups, or others gay notables jump to Lambert’s defense immediately after the performance? Or even Lady Gaga, for example? The only one I remember is Perez Hilton.

I’m tiring of it. And I’m less inclined to to give him a chance to “entertain” me at this point. I have a feeling lots of people are thinking the same thing, which doesn’t exactly bode well when you need an entirely new fan base to survive. I don’t think any of Lambert’s “creating a stir” is doing anything to help his career at this point.

Eminem has called Adam out as a fake along with Clay Aiken. That’s the essence of those lines in the song, although he used the words fake it to sound similar to faggot. I betcha he never used the F word in the lyrics at all. He cleverly implied it without vocalizing it. Is it wrong? Not very nice? Yes to both questions. Will people stop listening to Eminemn, stop buying his CDs because of it? Not on your life. Will it influence a lot of people in respect to Adam Lambert? Damn right it will. Eminem has now aligned Adam Lambert with Clay Aiken, career-wise. He’s pretty much saying he doesn’t take Adam Lambert seriously.

The Glamberts seem to have too many battles to fight: ABC, GLAAD, Eminem. ABC and GLAAD have been bombarded by their righteous indignation. But, I’m pretty certain who the loser is going to be in all of this.

I think Adam is wearing out his welcome. No one outside the IDOL bubble cares and if they are aware of Adam it’s mostly negative. Not everyone saw Adam as mega-talented. Some people, in fact, couldn’t stand his vocals. That in itself was polarizing. The controversies are merely adding to it. People may know his name, but they know it now for all the wrong reasons. I think he believed his so-called vocal abiltiy (I-can-sing-my-face-off-Lambert)would protect him no matter what he did. He never took into account that he is an unproven talent — 198,000 units sold compared to 80 million units sold just can’t compete. Like a cat, Adam has seemed to be able to land on his feet. It might look like everything is fine, but I think his nine lives are nearly depleted. His management is scrambling right now to get him Jingle Ball gigs hosting. From a business POV, it looks like a big mess.

At this point, Adam has fallen out of favor with me. I did enjoy some of his music, but I never felt he was meant for rock and I now believe his voice isn’t meant for pop either. I think the theatre and perhaps television might be Adam’s true calling.

In defense of ABC, I watch Brothers & Sisters and it’s a great show. All the characters are multifaceted, each with their strengths and flaws from the gay brother and his husband to the divorced single sister. They are real and relatable. I applaud ABC for putting the show in their line-up.

That show alone does far more for the Gay Rights Movement than Adam Lambert. It gives mainstream America a glimpse into perhaps a world they are not familar. The issue, as ABC stated, comes down to Adam going way, way off script. Whether gay, straight or bi, the performance went too far for ABC and they were pissed. I think they still are — Adam may view himself as David going up against Goliath, but the key difference is he does not have right on his side. ABC was giving him a golden opportunity and he kicked them in the balls. The audacity of it all just sticks in my craw.

Last night, I was hard on Adam in my previous post. It was late and I had been reading the comments on MJ which were making me crazed. After reading posts stating that Eminem was riding on Adam’s coattails, I had to step away. Unfortunately, I hadn’t stepped away soon enough. As usual my post is tl;dr. lol

My last word on this is: karma.

One of my all-time favorite shows was Six Feet Under. I still think this is one of the best depictions of the LGBT community EVER seen on TV. I’ve seen one episode of Queer As Folk and found it disgusting. Not because it was full of gay men making out, but because all the characters were painted as one-dimensional idiots who only thought about sex. A person’s sexuality is only one part of who they are as a person. Between Will & Grace and Queer As Folk, hell, all gay men wanted to do was talk about being gay, go to clubs, fuck and be catty. On Six Feet Under, you actually had gay characters who had all sorts of other things in their lives, other hopes, dreams, fears, hobbies, et al.

          I’ll continue this in a bit…

Ah, ok. My friend stopped by so I had to pay attention to him and not this blog 🙂

Anyway…back to what I was saying. Lambert says his sexuality shouldn’t be a factor and that its the MEDIA’S FAULT its an issue. I disagree at this point. He’s made it an issue to a large extent, but then his batshit crazy fans have also been what’s keeping this topic out there. Don’t even try to convince me they haven’t been harassing ABC and GLAAD all night. But besides that, Lambert doesn’t want to be political, but then he claims double standards–immediately after chastising Out for wanting him to make some political statement. And he claims his AMA performance was him just being himself and he got carried away. Oh, ok. So basically, Lambert wants us all to think he is a one-dimensional gay? Because that’s what I got out of it. And the more this story keeps continuing (what now GLAAD issued a FOURTH statement about Lambert?), the more its bothering me. I almost feel Lambert could not only hurt his career, but with all this brouhaha, cause the gay rights movement to be taken less seriously. Maybe that’s a stretch, but I think you can see what I’m getting at here. Perez Hilton’s bullshit pisses people off. He called someone a faggot and it was caught on video. Nice job, asshole. Why didn’t he just admit he thinks this is okay because HE is gay? And this was after Hilton essentially declared himself a political figure after the Carrie Prejean stuff. Yeah. Ok. And then you go and call some guy a faggot while throwing a little temper tantrum outside a nightclub. If you open or change minds of people who don’t know or currently accept the LGBT community, how is this sort of behavior effective?

The same goes for Adam Lambert. It wasn’t kissing a guy. It wasn’t even so much the head-crotch stuff, et al. It was the entire performance. It was like I’m gay, gay, gay. I’m so gay, this is what I do! Look how gay I am, and if you don’t like it, then fuck you. In fact, here’s the finger. I’m doing this on national broadcast TV. Therefore I am edgy and different. I am a gay rebel. Oh but wait. I don’t want to be political. “Don’t be so deep.” (Note: I don’t think much of what Lambert ever does IS deep on any level. Don’t know if he even knows how to go there.) But wait! This sucked and people hated it and that’s because its a double standard. You hated it because it was too gay. You can’t handle how gay I am. Blah blah blah.

Anyway…I have also come to yet another conclusion:

Like Steve Irwin was an “Australian packaged/created for American consumption”, I’m starting to feel that Lambert (and Perez Hilton) are “gays for straight people”. I guarantee the majority of people who don’t like what they’ve seen of Lambert so far could give two shits about his sexuality, and don’t care for him simply because he is irritating. People in Australia hated Steve Irwin (And guess what? They don’t drink Foster’s, either!) and thought he was a joke. Are Adam Lambert and Perez Hilton gay icons? Uh…

That being said, I would love for Adam Lambert to prove me wrong, but with all this continuing “controversy”, with all the goddamn sparkle cows–particularly the idiots who have the audacity to compare “Lambert’s Plight” to the tragedy of Matthew Shepard–with all of Lambert’s excuses for his AMA performance, with just all and everything surrounding this guy right now, frankly, I just keep liking him less and less.

          • December 5, 2009 11:05 am

Lordy, that was a rant. Such a shame that Adam is falling short of your previously high opinion. Adam may not be deep in the intellectual sense, but his spirit is filled with fun and entertainment and despite all that you said it is really difficult for me to see him as anything less than a talented individual who is trying to make a career under very difficult circumstances – “he is trying his fucking best” I believe he said in the Out article.

No, Lambert. YOU get over it. Because who the hell cares. It was annoying me…even though I do feel sort of bad the guy is part of probably the most DESPICABLE group ever referred to as fascinating. Come on! Glenn Beck, Kate Gosselin, and Sarah Palin are in there.

“I’m starting to feel that Lambert (and Perez Hilton) are “gays for straight people”.” — TOP IDOL

And that’s the biggest shame of it. Perez and Lambert have become caricatures, fostering gay stereotypes and playing into the hands of the bigoted and narrow-minded. Only fan, friend, and family know the “real” Adam Lambert. America has no desire or need to dig deeper than what the media presents to them and how Adam presents himself to America. It hasn’t been pretty.

Glamberts may believe they have won a huge victory, but they haven’t. Big corporations, big business does not like to be pushed around and they have long memories. (I’ve read on blogs the same situation happened with Aiken and Radio.) They have merely placated the nuts and are probably more concerned with Barbara Walters’ show ratings than making ammends with Lambert. His fans may think he’s all powerful, but ABC does not, having seen over the years much, much, much bigger names fall from grace and into obscurity. It’s all fleeting and the Adam phenomenom is only a small hiccup in the world’s timeline.

Adam’s debacle on the AMAs and the ensuing brouhaha is NOT helping the gay marriage issue or the gay rights cause at all. No long dissertations or finger-pointing or name-calling will change this fact.

I have loved Ellen Degeneres since way back. She is a perfect representation of the gay community. Her sexual preference is a non-issue, which is the way it should be. She is kind, funny, and relatable. (I still think the Entertainment Industry did her the disservice and not America. If given the chance, I think they would have rose above it, making it a non-issue is it is now.)

Oh, and saw a quick moment on FUSE with Lady Gaga talking about being Bi and not wanting to talk to much about it because she didn’t want that to be the THING. She should have schooled Lambert on this.

              Again tl;dr I have no excuse …

Sorry TI, the other people I don’t really know that well, I know Kate was part of a reality show but I never saw it, Sarah Palin is a Conservative politician I think – No idea who Glenn Beck is – I can only assume that if these people are genuinely not fascinating then perhaps the programme should be re-named “10 most gossiped about” and as such Adam would surely fit in well there.

The quote you are referring to “I am a homosexual. Get over it.” really would depend on context of the rest of the conversation. But would the general reaction to Adam have been quite “polarising” had he not been gay – it seems to have caused him far more problems than it should. I can’t imagine having to come out as “straight” as though it was something to be ashamed of.

Oh, Kitten, you being in the UK…you are lucky not to know about Glenn Beck (Fox News talking head who has been a leader of the “birther” brigade) and Kate Gosselin (she of terrible hair and 8 children). But between those two and Sarah Palin, I just have no interest in giving the show RATINGS just to hear them talk.

                • December 5, 2009 7:44 pm

Oooh TI, just googled Glenn Beck. Don’t know enough of US politics to know what a “birther” is – I would be interested to know what that means. But I understand what a conservative is, as a liberal myself – conservatism generally is not a good thing – but havent the time or inclination to delve further. But in UK we have our own disappointments and embarrassments, Katie Price (formerly Jordon) topless model, turned reality TV star, met her husband Peter Andre (former one hit wonder popstar – his major one hit “Mysterious Girl”) on Im A Celebrity Get me Out of Here, a jungle-based reality show aired in the UK, not sure where else it is aired, plus their consequent romance/marriage made headlines and a fly on the wall series that followed their lives. They tried to make it in the US, ring any bells? It seems, from the media and tv show, she was such a bitch to him that they now getting divorced. There is such media interest here for the couple, and can imagine either she or he would be prime suspect for Babs show. Not to worry if you never heard of them, dont go looking her up, is just wasted time in your life that you will never get back 🙂

Birthers are people who believe its all a huge lie that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and contend he was born outside of the USA and therefore, is not eligible to be president.

It’s ridiculous. People now talk about how Sarah Palin will run in 2012 with Glenn Beck as her running mate. Yup. If that were to ever happen, I would definitely denounce my citizenship.

The one’s he sets himself? Boo hoo baby, boo hoo.

Now I do wish that this ABC thing would die down b/c the drama isn’t going to help his credibility. His singing should be the focus, sadly some of the heiffers who follow him are clueless as to how their OTT behavior turns the normal fans off.

All those angry emails and the perceived victory they feel with the L.A. Sadly, the kiss is taking away from the real issue at hand…the groping, the oral sex simulation. That is what pissed off FCC and ABC, in addition to the fact that 1) it wasn’t in the rehearsal so ABC felt Adam complete blindsided their production crew and put the entire network in a bad position and 2) the reaction from Adam was extremely defensive and quite dismissive. Ummm, bad move. Who knows what exactly happened behind the scenes, but if you take an F you attitude to a major company (Disney) and the FCC, you must be ready to deal with the consequences. At this point, its probably a matter of pride for ABC/Disney. They need to show Adam and other celebs who is really calling the shots. Now if the cows want to cry about society being too prude and injustice, guess what? Use all that energy into making sure Gay citizens have the right to marry. March, petition, protest, and most importantly, vote. Trust me, you would be doing Adam a bigger service.

    • December 4, 2009 6:15 pm

More Adam news: Eminem mentions Lance, Adam and Clay

The fun part is reading the Glambert comments. Adam tweeted he must be doing something right if Eminem is singing about him. Now they’re running with Adam must have made it if he’s in an Eminem song. Adam- famewhore- only has himself to blame. What an effin mess.

Adam didn’t deserve the AMA stage and he failed because he shouldn’t have been there in the first place. David Cook played the red carpet like the music industry “peon” he was at that point. Maybe Adam’s been the media darling, but when heavy weights like Eminem start calling Adam out, I have a strong feeling the tide is going to turn. I was waiting for someone like Eminem or someone in the music industry to say who the Eff is this guy and what’s he done to get the star treatment. Kelly Clarkson still continues to work and prove herself, as well as all the other Idols.

Adam was smart enough to not pick a beef with Eminem (who’s all too ready to have feuds with anyone and everyone). AND his fans are having the sense to view this positively or without caring, instead of getting angry. And yet somehow this reaction is silly or wrong, too? Jeez.

Up till now their laughable desperation to build Adam up as some sort of saint has been amusing in its utter lunacy, but this? Is just vile. I am disgusted and would hope Adam would be ashamed to call those people fans if he knew how little perspective and respect for serious gay rights issues they have, even if he only likes to play gay politics when it helps take the spotlight off of his own piss-poor decisions, music and singing. Rock Week was like Allison’s best week ever! Slow Ride might be my favorite performance of the entire show. Poor Kris was stuck with Gokey. Yeah Allison was interviewed and they were like “were you third or fourth?” and then after she said 4th they had to ask “Who was third then?” haha!

Um…has anyone told these sparkle cows what “gay” means? ‘Cause I got a big ol’ feeling they’re using the old meaning of “happy.”

Nah…they’re just using anything and everything to get in good with their precious Adam because, of course, if he just looked at them ONE time he’d want to fuck them forever and ever…

    Oops, enmasse 🙂

Once again the same granny bitches who chased anyone who dare say the word GAY on the scaries during the show are now even calling themselves “gay rights activists” in blog comments sections. Unbelievable. I’ve also seen avatars which look like they belong to gay men attached to posts that are obviously coming from sparkle cows.

    Thus spake sparkle cow:

(such as the notorious P!ink concert a few years ago)

I bet these women were not even aware of the now “notorious” Pink performance, otherwise they would have been mooing the youtube link enmass days ago. In the comments section of the LA Times, dozens of them sent the same link and argument all in a row. It was hilarious. They got their orders from headquarters and all marched out to look like asses.

    exploytayon 😀

“Yeah, lady. Tell me something–what they hell did you know about the gay rights movement before you had a hot flash during an episode of American Idol in early 2009?”

This! You know this is so true, that SOME (again not ALL) Glamberts did not give damn about any of this before Adam sang on the show.

Damn GLAAD for being homophobic self hating gays!
