An Adam Lambert fan bought 1000 downloads of the For Your Entertaiment video

December 17, 2009

In an effort to push Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment video to #1 on iTunes, a Glambert named Sherrie bought 1000 COPIES. Yes. These were as gifts to people (you can email her if you want one) but that doesn’t mean a thing. Who gifts video downloads to total stranger? WHO SPENDS OVER $2000 ON DOWNLOADS FOR TOTAL STRANGERS??

Adam’s video
All of the gifts of Adam’s video have gone out, so if you haven’t gotten yours, email me at and I’ll try to fix it. I think I actually broke iTunes last night, but hopefully everyone got theirs. And I know you are grateful, so you don’t have to reply to this. Just go get another copy of Adam’s video on iTunes and lets get it to number 1 on the first day for him. Hugs, Sherrie

Oh, and mods, could you do the tagging thing? I’m rubbish at everything except the Adam one. Thanks!

Wow. That’s just…over $2000? There was nothing better you could do with $2000? No charity you could give it to? No family members you want to spoil this holiday season? Perhaps you’re rolling in dough. Good for you. But a lot of people are struggling right now. Maybe you find this charitable? Gifting a $1.99 video to other Glamberts? No. It’s insane. You did it as a concerted effort to push his song to the top of an iTunes chart for a few hours. But most of all, you did it to gain acclaim as OMG THE MOST DEVOTED FAN EVER within your exceedingly batshit crazy fandom.

So this woman is a doctor. I assume she makes good money. Should I give her some credit for admitting that its idiocy?

Delurking to let you know that I’m a 51 year old physician, mother of 3 son, one gay, one bi, and one straight, who owns my own company. I have used my money to support young artists for years, and my company gave $2000 to each of the top 10 idols chosen charities, so Adam had $2000 from me for I’m letting you know this because I have had enough of the censorship of Adam, and I wanted to let you know that I put my money where my mouth is.

When the FYE video drops on 12/15, I will be gifting 1000 for the first and 100 additional for each additional cancellation of any of his appearances. I’m up to 1300 vids to gift on 12/15, so if you’d like to be one of the recipients, just email me at if you have a US iTunes account, and give me your iTunes email address, and I will send you an email for a free download of his music video.

I have already gifted over 300 Kradison videos in this and other communities, so you know I will follow through on my gifting.

Feel free to post my email address to other communities and I’ll let you know when I’ve reached my 1300 limit, or if, God forbid, there are more cancellations, whatever the number ends up being.

Hugs to all, Sherrie

In other news, Adam Lambert was one of the year’s top Twitter [people] trends. Obviously, this is huge, as nothing happens in the world unless it is TWEETED. The number one trending topic is a given — Michael Jackson. Once again, Farrah Fawcett was screwed. Here is the full list of Twitter’s Top Trending Topics of 2010. I guess I wasn’t Tweeting all that much when Battlestar Galactica (#bsg) was trending. Alas. But I was totally there for Pig Flu! So there!

I agree with Lauren adam never said he was trying to be political. And yes, I’ve seen female performances not as racy as Adams but darn near close. It’s just that we are so use to it we don’t notice. I’ve seen many rap videos that have all kinds of half naked vixens in it doing all kinds of shiz. A guy does it and it’s time to drop the censors on him.

I never liked Adam’s singing. Everyone was tarding out for him on idol. Screech mcqueen was never my cup of tea but neither is krissy Kermit. Just like all the previous idols jerks except for underwood and clarkson, no one will care or know who they are 2 years from now!!!

Well, that makes me feel a little better now. I’m a good girl at heart. Really not even a rebel, but things happen … like say a harmless scrape with the law at 16, myself and a few friends behind bars … Well, this kinda felt the same way, but so much worse. ::grin and shakes head:: Oversharing seems to have become compulsive of late. ::facepalm::

What an asshat. On the news this morning, they had a push for toys for tots, as donations have been so down. Some reports said they needed nearly 10,000 toys in order to barely come close to the demand. 2K could have bought a lot of toys for kids today–toys for kids that probably will only get their one or two toys from the Marines.

I heard that Adam was named Entertainer of the Year by EW. My first thought was, “why?”, my second thought was, “this should have been Gaga’s year.” It should have been Gaga’s year at the AMAs and every other inane poll. But, it won’t be, if those polls are fan-driven and on the web because Adam’s fans are very, very invested in these things. Lady Gaga can take solace in the fact that she sells records, but it is sad to see someone who has worked hard all year not recieve the awards, as ridiculous and meaningless some might be. Bottom line: Gaga’s fans must not be scouring the web for such polls or giving “hits” to on-line sites about her or even buying Rolling Stone. Adam Lambert fans are on the web 24/7 and do read and do buy anything and everything about him. The media knows this; the media exploits this. As they say: it isn’t rocket science.

Are these things important to Lady Gaga? Perhaps not the persona, the performer, but to that young, Italian Catholic girl who saw herself as a freak, I think those accolades are very, very important. I saw her face when her name wasn’t announced at the AMAs; she looked quite sad.

I was very hard on Gaga on this blog. I guess her hanging out with Perez Hilton and the whole Gaga act was annoying to me. But,I have to admit she came across very sweet and very real with Barbara Walters. I understood her after that. Where I grew up, most of my girl friends were Italian Catholics, many of their parents still speaking Italian at home. Her father thinking she was mentally unstable made me laugh. A very real response from a dad. I was glad to see that she made ammends with her father. I could relate having had the same violatile relationship with my dad, but able to find understanding and acceptance after his triple-bypass, as Gaga was able to do with her father.

Perhaps, it was how they decided to edit Adam’s interview with Barbara, but he did not come across as well for me. In fact, he sounded a bit arrogant, saying he had no regrets and also saying, if you judged him by one performance you are ignorant. Okay, then. Even Glen Beck came across far more approachable than Adam, saying he wanted to be remembered as “being wrong.” That even took Barbara Walters aback. Again, IMO, a missed opportunity for Adam.

Old news and a bit of a ramble and not one bit snarky or witty. I leave that to my betters. ::looking around for wit and snark::

Sandra Bullock was Entertainer of the Year, Lambert was #8, right behind Ryan Reynolds.

Lady GaGa was #2 or #3. Adam B. Vary’s quick puff piece on Lambert was idiotic. It concludes with Glambert-esque warping of chart numbers to slam HDB.

That kind of took me aback…Vary always came across as a big fan of HBD. That was strange to read…don’t know why that was necessary. After all, it IS possible to let people know that Adam’s debut album was very successful w/o taking a swipe at someone else! Maybe that wasn’t the intent, but it’s hard not to read it that way.

Wasn’t it saskin who said that 19Evil had “spent” Kris to promote Adam? It’s hard not to get knollish about this, especially when EW was mostly pro-Kris during the season.

Hey, you know I always laugh at tard conspiracies and all that nonsense, but…that article rubbed me the wrong way. I’ve read EW for years so I understand the editorial voice, especially in year-end issues, or even articles on all the Oscar nominees, that sort of thing. They are always filled with effusive praise and subtle statements of why a person could win an award (see the Oscar nominee issue) or why they’re superior, that sort of thing. However, that still rubbed me the wrong way. There were other ways to state similar sentiments. Vary’s article also insinuated both albums were released at the same time — yeah, HBD’s album sold less, but they were released a week apart. Of course Lambert’s numbers will be significantly higher than Allen’s on the week of his release, since Allen’s was released the prior week. Numbers drop.

And no, this is not me “embracing my inner Kristard”. I just thought it was a shit article.

Oh, thanks for the information. I haven’t been on in some time. Gaga did get some recognition then. Sandra Bullock had a weird year. Two movies panned and then the rise out of the ashes. Good for her. I always liked Bullock.

        Got this from MJ’s:,32517,1946375,00.html

The people that mattered are quite the assortment. Jon and Kate plus Adam. Obama is 12th.

        This from Billboard:

To see Adam on the list is a joke and even more so with Ashley Tisdale making an appearance. The Adam fans don’t seem to get that it’s embarrassing to have him #1 on all these lists and polls. They think it gives him cred, shows that he’s a superstar. I think it does the reverse. But what do I know…

What’s the mantra again? Adam Lambert is a RAWK GOD. Adam Lambert is a supermegasuperstar. Adam Lambert is my IDOL.

I wonder how Adam Vary is getting along in the EW offices. It seems like a fair amount of the tv staff weren’t that fond of Adam. Do you think maybe he’s lashing out because of that, or do you think he’s just that dense?

I don’t know what the purpose of that was. He seemed to be a fan of Kris, Adam, and Allison during the season (and after). Most of his reviews were clever and snarky, but that seemed mean-spirited. He managed to make Kris look like a loser, and Adam look like a jerk in one paragraph. Maybe he was trying for snark, but again, it didn’t read that way. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, b/c I usually enjoy his articles.

The beauty of NYC was that it was Switzerland. No one was from there or had lived there. It was the place anyone who didn’t want to get involved in a fan war could vote for if they cared. Kris may be in NYC, but he’s subtly hinted that he’d like it to be LR, if for no other reason than to spend some time at home. That’s at least understandable. I just don’t like Adam making it a fan war thing. Although, I’m definitely making popcorn for this. heh

I think HBD has some very cool, very normal, very supportive twenty-something fans in NYC based on Youtube videos and othe blogs I’ve happened upon. That alone reassures me about Kris’s musical future. A lot of support from guys as well. Once they got some disposable income, Kris’ll be on his way. LOL

There’s a WSJ article written by Peggy Noonan —

I truly hope the Glamberts stay away for Adam’s sake. The comments are far too intelligent and articulate — many very conservative. I can only see the Glamberts going down in flames if their comments match what I have read on other articles. Homophobe and Hater name-calling gets you exactly nowhere when defending your ’cause’. Or calling Adam the next Elvis or ROCK GOD. Clear-minded, intelligent debating skills are what is needed in this forum, so that pretty much discounts the Fantards.

Kris is allowed request Little Rock because it’s his home and he’d like to be there, but Adam’s not allowed to request NYC (where, as he said, he has friends and family he loves to see) without being a drama queen? That’s as bad as the Glamberts twisting Kris’s request for Little Rock into something negative.

If you REALLY wanted to understand the blackballing issue you’d go to a gay site not a Lambert bashing site like this one. It’s fully explained on Queerty in several threads including GLAAD critical material.

Adam Lambert did more for LGBT in 5 minutes and two tweets to Aaron Hicklin than any other public figure/org/entertainer. He inadvertently created the most significant LGBT event in entertainment history.

Queerty fully embraces this sentiment and joins the community in full throated support for the boy. And yes I expect a hack c8th grade omment about my choice of words.

Try READING the FCC Complaint by Liberty Counsel wherein the caption and complaints assert that H O M O S E X U A L behavior and HOMOSEXUAL OPEN MOUTH KISSING are obscene, which was the cause for the blackball.

Interesting. My brother has been quietly working for decades to show that he and his partner are no different than any other couple in their community. They go to work, volunteer locally, have pride in their home and property. His reaction to AL’s performance was not positive. He said that Adam’s display on prime time tv managed to set the perception of the gay community back ten years. He felt that the performance had nothing to do with gay rights and everything to do with exhibitionism and being a fame whore. As a gay man in his 50s he has struggled for years to help people understand that being gay doesn’t mean you are any more likely to be vulgar, overtly sexual or inappropriate than a heterosexual man.

The problem with AL’s performance was not the kiss or that Adam is gay. The problem is imo that certain parts of the performance were vulgar. Simulating oral sex and sticking his hand in the dancer’s crotch are not appropriate for prime time tv. I don’t understand what either of those things has to do with asserting his sexuality. To me it didn’t scream out “I am gay and proud of it”, it screamed out “I love attention”.

One of the most private people I know is a gay guy, ANY sort of random sex talk will make him blush. I don’t understand why so many people have the perception that all gay couples want to “shove their sexuality in people’s faces”.

I think that some of these more vocal Glamberts believe that Adam represents the “average gay” (lol) who of course, wears fab boots, fingerless gloves, and wants to simulate sex in public. They honestly believe his rights were violated b/c some people didn’t appreciate that being broadcast on network TV, and that women (as Adam pointed out) get away with it all the time. ( Mmmkay…I don’t recall any recent examples of women simulating oral sex or digital penetration on primetime network, but perhaps I’ve forgotten) How their quest to get Adam carte blanche for future TV performances, furthers gay rights or the public perception of gay couples, is beyond me. It’s good for Adam…but I don’t see the particular benefit for the average Joe.

And THAT precisely is what is wrong with America. Many people assume that being gay means being very sexually explicit in public. That is why the gay community is upset with Adam. It isn’t his fault that people see his AMA performance and think typical gay instead of typical Adam. He wasn’t trying to shove his sexuality down people’s throats, he was just trying to be himself. Yet people still see him and think, “Oh, he did that because he is GAYYYY!!!!”

Why is she “helping” him? It’s the grand gesture of someone making a bid to become #1 on a tard board. If she really wants to help out the gay community, there are more effective ways of doing so than gifting 1,000 copies of FYE. I don’t see how that helps anyone other than 19/Adam/her tard-queen bid. Exactly. She could have put on a gay pride parade in her town. Or bought gay-frinedly literature for the public library. Or gave holiday presents for LGBT teens who’ve been shunned by their families.

No one’s missing the point that it’s her money. But that doesn’t keep her from being a silly, obsessive fan. Buying 1000 downloads of a music video–anyone’s music video–is crazy, IMO. I guess the point everyone is missing is that it’s HER money and she can do whatever she wants to do with it. It really isn’t anybody’s business what this woman does with HER money. She earned it, she can do whatever she wants with it. If this makes her feel good, than good for her. I seriously doubt any of the negative posters here would like her telling you what to do with your hard earned money. I could care less if she flushed $2000 down her toilet….it’s hers to flush, not ours.

Of course she is entitled to spend her own money however she wants, but the reason she cited for doing so is just laughable, and doesn’t make her less of a crazy Glambert. She is looking for validation among the fans and they are willing to give it to her because they benefit from her BSC behaviour. And spending $2000 on music videos of a reality show contestant is BSC behaviour.

Exactly! Even if all three of her sons were gay and she’d been named GLAD’s Momma of the Year she’d still do more to advance the cause of gay rights by donating that money to one of the many worthy organizations out there. She’s not going to do it by buying and gifting multiple copies of shitty music by a 3rd rate karaoke singer.

This is strictly an attempt to be the Alpha Tard.

        • December 17, 2009 12:35 pm

It’s just too bad that the media has their head so far up Adam’s ass that they don’t report on crazy behavior like this. They’d rather spend their time making nonsensical comparisons to Kris because of Adam’s sales numbers when in reality, his numbers are inflated. I’m not taking away from the fact that Adam’s album is good (Kris’s is too) and sure there are a lot of people who bought it outside of the Idol bubble, but to run with the meme that Kris is a failure because he didn’t sell 300,000 copies right out of the gate is just ridiculous and lazy journalism. Kris has a Top 40 hit single on his hands and he’s had to work hard to get it (without the media pimping and exposure) but do they focus on that? No, they just continue to begrudge him because he’s not “Adam” and they, like some of the Glamberts, cannot get over the results of a TV show that ended over 6 months ago.

Kris is a low key guy and will definitely be fine without the hype, but the media has definitely taken things to an all time low this season.

She may of may not have a gay son. What she IS though, and trying to hide it, a major tard trying to become head tard and seeking attention and acclaim within their community. I should have saved the links to the posts on MJs where her followers were defending her. They actually think she’s a gay rights activist (because of her avatar) and just happens to “gift” new artists – and of course she just stumbled into tard central ontd_ai 😀 They are VERY STRONG in their support when some there were saying WTF? Adam doesn’t need “gifting” – RCA/19 has been spending plenty of payola dollars on him.

I agree with those who question everything about her. Things don’t add up with what I’ve read as her personal bio. The thing about King and Queen tards, (and I’ve seen this BEFORE I was introduced to the weird world of AI fandom) is that they too develop followings, like parasites attached to the host. I know of this one guy who had a messageboard devoted to a band and he used it to become a freakin leader of the lamest and tardiset of the fans. I actually attended a concert and sat near him and his cult. It was bizarre. My BF decided to go and meet him out of curiosity and said he and the glazed eyes around him were unreal. At the time I couldn’t bring myself to see it up close. It’s one thing to mock them on the internet, another to actually see it up close. I just observed from a distance.

It sounds to me like some sort of misguided attempt to show love and support for her son. All I can say is that if this is true, I feel sorry for her son. There are better ways to show your dead gay son that you love him.

          Answer me this;

If Adam was canceled for doing something indecent on ABC and the Glamberts are boycotting ABC, why hasn’t Adam boycotted ABC?

Adam has been two ABC shows after he was canceled. Why hasn’t he stood his ground and boycotted them for canceling him?

          But his fans are?

Plus shouldn’t Adam face consequences for causing ABC grief by changing his routine to a more indecent one when it was televised live?

You make it seem like he is blameless in all this. He did more than kiss another man. He flipped the tv audience off, he simulated fingering a woman, and grinded a man’s mouth on his crotch. Yet many of his fans act like he didn’t do anything wrong.

Something so fishy still about the AMAs to me. Why did the announcer bill Adam all night as being the shock of the evening, something everyone would talk about the next day? Were they really talking about Adam’s dodgy vocal? I just can’t believe ABC were so shocked – apart from the flipping the bird (which as far as I could see from video I have seen wasnt even televised) most of this act has been seen before in some sphere on tv – some sexual content was included on the same show with other stars earlier. I dunno – maybe the advertisers weren’t expecting it and their reaction caused a problem. I know Adam himself has said he took things too far, but what exactly were they billing him to be so shocking for – be interesting to see the full rehearsal to check the difference.

I’m not sure where this confusion is coming from. The problem wasn’t that his act was going to border on racy, it was that he didn’t do it as he did in rehearsal. He took it a step further than he was supposed to, and then stated that he can’t control himself on stage. Even Adam’s publicly acknowledged that that was why GMA and the other live performances were canceled.

That’s it. That’s all. No controversy. No drama over a kiss. Just business.

Oh Ben, some of us are also members of ontd_ai and saw how this went down on that site. Maybe we’ve been around long enough to know BSC when it’s staring us in the face.

I am speechless. From buying 38 copies of For Your Entainment, to making AdamLambert Embryo Ornaments, to spending 2000 FREAKING DOLLARS just to push to #1!?!?!?

    Idiots these days… tsk tsk..
