That thread made my head spin. So many of them have no idea what they’re talking about. One person actually asked if Kris and Adam had sold enough albums to tour. You tour to sell albums, not the other way around!
I’m just glad Q3 and Tess were both called out.
I did laugh at the person who said that Adam would never open for Ke$ha because he would blow her out the water with his ‘voice’. Huh? Last I heard, Ke$ha’s the one with a couple of top selling singles under her belt. Neither is going to be headlining arena tours just yet. Adam’s voice also means shit in the real world of touring.
Dissing Kris on his interviews is an old and moldy complaint. None of these stupid bitches actually listen to his interviews nor do they have the intelligence to appreciate dry humor. Sadly, their thinking is still at concrete operations thus subtle or abstract is too difficult for them to comprehend.
Defensive bunch, those Adam fans over there. Goodness.

LOL, Q3 and her wisdom. I am just laughing that all those dingbats returned after the whole “we hate MJs and are deleting our bookmarks” adventure. Ah well. Season 9 is almost upon us with whole new fanwars…
Q3 just got shot down on her pronouncement considering LLWD not being on radio playlists in Malaysia and other places she knows nothing about. The person who clued her in apparently actually lives in Singapore or Malaysia and knows whereof she speaks. Unlike, oh, I don’t know, Q3, who seems to just make stuff up whenever she feels like it from her global nerve center in Mississippi.
LMAO! Unlike Q3, I can actually get the playlist stats for these things in Malaysia. I just can’t be bothered to dig it up. And I know most of us can’t be bothered to know either. But I’ve heard LLWD and WWFM a few times on the top 40 radio stations on the rare occasion I tune in to them. Even heard No Boundaries the other day, which prompted me to switch the channel. Sorry, HBD!
Whatever it is, they’re both doing fine, regardless of how Q3 tries to spin it.
Why the thought of Q3 in her nerve center in Mississippi cracks me up right now I do not know… I think I need sleep. But that was good for a chuckle 😉

That was me. 🙂 First off, it’s a “he” and yes, I’m in Malaysia, and an admitted Kristard. I listen and track Kris on the local radio, so Q3’s comment just pisses me off. I was like “WTF” when I read it, and was more annoyed with her “superior and dismissive” tone when clearly she made the whole thing up. “Looking at the 5 big stations since November”, my ass. I don’t usually post at MJs, but I was so annoyed that I went to dig up the number just to show how full of shit she was.
jonoave, fyi if you know of a local network of Kris fans and can get super-organised, Sony-BMG in Malaysia would be glad to support or work with you guys. I know they’ve done stuff with/for Archie and David Cook fans before.
But knowing Kris fans, who seem to share one common trait with HBD, they (meaning we) would be too lazy to do anything.
Thanks VD, but I guess you’re right, we Kris fans are just too lazy as a whole. 🙂 There are few of us on IDF, and we track the occasional radio charts and send in some requests now and then, but that’s it. I know of another Kris fan who started a M’sian fansite/blog for Kris, but I don’t go there often. I think it’s quite unlikely the few of us will be motivated enough to form a superteam of M’sian Krisfans. 😉

That whole conversation on that thread is ridiculous. I’m especially confused as to the implication that RCA shipping a bunch of albums means that an artist sold that number albums. Seriously, what’s the point of soundscan or gold and platinum classifications if all a label has to do is ship 1 million albums to claim an artist has gone platinum. Talk about morons.

It’s really stupid that this happens every week when numbers are posted. It’s always the same meaningless argument! This my “key-word” prediction for next week’s argument:
Glamberts: plaid-wearing, no-talent, boring, thin-voiced, no-personality, mumbly, failure, lowest-selling, thinning hair, album sales.
Kristards: single-sales, gold, multiple-copies, polls, spamming, rightfully his, hype, OTT, not fair.
As for Cooktards, IDK how Cook is relevant to the fanwar but, if they are still picking a “side” next week, I’ll guess that it’s some crazies who want to align themselves with whichever side seems to be winning.
No personality is my favorite of the Glambert complaints. No fair is my favorite of the Kristard’s. They are so adorable. Why is Adam more popular? It’s NOT fair!
I don’t even know what “not fair” means in the context of the ongoing sales fanwar, and I’m a Kristard. Not fair to whom? Did Kris demand to perform on the AMA’s? Did he demand a RS cover, and someone said “no?” Is 19E giving things to Adam that they promised Kris? Lol. I doubt it. They aren’t interchangeable. I can’t imagine Kris stuck in the middle of Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas on an awards show, it would’ve been just….wrong. agree. she’s a global superstar, she could do better. lets me not even get into Disney and other top organizations/companies that gave only 10-100K. sandra bullock, another person who gave 1 mil. these (big) celebs make a lot of money so its nice to see when they give back.
Considering what he did in Thailand after the Tsunami, I’m guessing he’s probably going about it less publicly. At least, that’s my assumption. He just comes across as the kind of guy who actually wants to help, and not just to get publicity for helping.

After checking my wardrobe for offending items and found a pretty blue/pink cowgirl shirt from 2 summers ago, I can now reveal that plaid is perfectly fine apparel Lauren lol. But do you remember when the idols played a gig at GMA one fine morning – Kris, David and the other band members were wearing plaid and Adam (singin Starlight) was the only one not wearing it – a big thing was made of it by the glambs – here is a pic I found – “one of these things is not like the other”.

I was there that day standing behind a big tard sign that completely blocked my view during Adam’s performance. I was NOT wearing plaid. I was wearing gray and black, coincidentally. But, yes it was comical as the plaid brigade made their way onto the stage. Adam looked dashing.

I was tarding quite heavily when that GMA was broadcast and would have loved to have been there myself – selfish tard-waving-tard-signs aside that is. I remember re-shuffling my appointments so I could tune in live via internet so was there in spirit anyhow. Remember Adam’s comment about the bras and the presenter quickly tried to shut him up and reminding him this was family tv? Aaah, how tame that seems now! The videos of it that came up afterwards, the greenery and sunshine, the perfect vocals and young elvis-style Adam. Happy days 🙂

As the season went on, I liked him more and more. And I gotta admit, when I saw him perform at that rehearsal I attended, I whooped. I fucking whooped. I NEVER whoop about anything. It was when he came out after they played the Jamie Foxx thing and he said the part about making an album with him. I fucking whooped. And then I think I whooped after he sang, because I was just so happy for the guy. I thought he was toast once Gokey threw him under the bus (or tried to) and Allison and Adam killed with Slow Ride, however, I should have know the frauen would rule and all remaining contestants with peen would be safe for another week.
In any case, I became a fan of his during the season, but he’s probably the only Idol contestant any any season I’ve ever watched who I’ve grown to like more after the show ended. I don’t really tard over much, and I wouldn’t call myself a Kris Allen tard. I don’t ooooh and ahhh over his looks or get all “worried” about things. If I ever go to one of his shows, I’m not giving him a gift. I don’t bedazzle for anyone and I can’t knit. I don’t do that shit. I don’t play his music incessantly nor can I think of anyone I do that about. Hell, even though I tard over Jon Hamm, I would still watch Mad Men if he weren’t on it. I don’t really think about people I’ve never met much during daily activities, nor do I fantasize about them. However, I’m a Kris Allen fan. I have no problem telling anyone this if the subject comes up. If he does a show near me, I’ll totally go. I will download his next album. I’m a fan of the guy more so than I have ever been any other Idol contestant of the seasons I’ve watched. (I really love La Princesa, too, obviously.) And while I have digressed, my original point was…if it weren’t for the guy’s personality, I would have forgotten about him by now outside of this blog. But he’s actually made me like him MORE since the show ended. And that’s really tough to do.
So yeah, whatevia. Call me a tard. I’m not, but if you do it in jest, I’m okay with it.

you perfectly summed up how many of us feel about the guy. i normally dont follow the contestants post idol, despite my feelings for them during show ( ex: i loved and voted for cook, but have never bought an album). however, there is something about kris that keeps me coming back for more news, videos, stories, etc. the kid has an unassuming charm that is extremely endearing and as a result, it makes me slightly “tard” over his performances. but thats about it, i will never build a bear for him or spray paint his face across the hood of my car….I will just call myself a fan, buy a concert ticket when he’s in town, and from time to time, play his music on my iPod. something tells me most of his fans are the same way….normal 😉

As if we need to be reminded how awesome Kris is?! I love this. I love that he is ALWAYS bringing it back to the music. Also, it’s a huge plus that he doesn’t come off like a whiny bitch.

Has anyone else noticed how Lauren has been morphing into a Kristard after hanging out here? I like to point this out every so often. She used to be all “Adam, Adam, Adam” and now she is not only trying to keep Kradam alive, she’s talking about how adorable Kris Allen is and using smiley faces. Heh heh heh.
