American Idol Top 9 “Theme” Spoiler

So a source of mine in LA shared with me next week’s theme. I know Idol said they would have less mentors this year, but this seems like the most ridiculous theme ever just because it does not exactly narrow much down. (Wait. That’s what those limiting song lists the contestants must choose from are for!) Of course, it also makes complete sense from a marketing standpoint.
Like I said, it could be total bullshit, but let’s see if it pans out.
Next weeks theme is iTunes downloads, whatever that means… Pretty much free for all from what I heard.
UPDATE: I’m going to guess it is most likely iTunes Top 100.

I think the theme is Top 100 iTunes Downloads. So it’s the top 100 downloaded songs in iTunes. Makes sense? And i also heard that Lady Gaga and David Cook will be performing on next week’s elimination night. ^_^
What it means is that ITunes monitors the amount customer downloads and the songs that are downloaded the most are then placed on to a list (which is always updated). This is similar to the Billboard top 100 list of the most popular albums ever.
iTunes Top 100 will provide some trainwreck while iTunes All Time Download might give stronger performances. (finger crossed)
Another itune promotion.Smart one. So top 9 are asked to pick songs from 100 topping-chart hits?? You man totally picture how many wrong song choices will go again.
It might also be “Top 100 iTunes Downloads of All Time”. I could see it definitely being something like that.
Why? Because it would be way too awesome if it was current. 😉
Hopefully, they’ll be allowed to sing some of the top podcasts and spoken word iTunes tracks. Or maybe they’ll really shake things up and act out some of the top iTunes movies. Killer!
Maybe it isn’t just “itunes downloads,” maybe its something more like iTunes Top 100, which would make more sense. It was supposed to be a theme last year, Top 11 week, but they switched it to another week of Beatles instead. Hopefully its iTunes Top 100 and not ‘itunes downloads’ because the latter would make no sense at all.
That sounds very likely! Much more sense than “iTunes downloads”.
I think the theme this week should be boot boob girl. As a guy, Allison is a hot babe, but no matter how hot she is, there is no way I want to hear her singing anymore…I had to turn my volume off, she is sooooooooooooo friggin bad! Wake up, she’s gorgeous but her voice is godawful!
stevieweb, i think you are an idiot! “Boot boob girl” week is a definite, but the girl that my dog howls better than is Megan. she is the worst singer i’ve ever heard in my entire life. the judges brought her back because they can see her in sleazy outfits during the tour and didn’t care that she scares the crap out of people when she sings.
I actually like Megan’s voice.
Plus, the girl has never had any serious training. Isn’t that what this show is supposed to find? With a little work, her voice will be OUTSTANDING. She just doesn’t know how to use it as well as she could right now.
